natalie Blake
For more than 30 years, Natalie Blake has created ceramic works that transform architecture into places of connection, reflection, and wonder. Inspired by the rhythms of sound, energy, and the natural world, her large-scale installations bring texture, movement, and a sense of place to public spaces across the country.
Her journey began with the prestigious Thomas J. Watson Fellowship in Ceramics, which took her around the world to study with Indigenous artists from Indonesia to Nepal. Those experiences shaped a lifelong artistic practice rooted in craftsmanship, cultural appreciation, and an enduring curiosity about the patterns that connect people to one another and to their environments.
Today, Natalie specializes in custom public art installations for healthcare facilities, educational campuses, corporate environments, civic spaces, and cultural institutions. Each commission is thoughtfully designed to respond to its setting, creating meaningful works that invite engagement while reflecting the unique identity of the communities they serve.
Natalie is grateful to the clients, architects, designers, fabricators, and community partners who have entrusted her with their spaces over the years, and she looks forward to creating enduring works that enrich the public realm for generations to come.
Her work reflects the quiet power of art to connect people, transform places, and leave a lasting impression long after the first encounter.
